About the Journal

Journal of Industrial Design Studies - International Perspectives (JOIDEIS) is arguably the first open-access, peer-reviewed international journal of its kind concerning all aspects of industrial design research and practice with a specific emphasis on geographic, social, cultural perspectives. Legal and rights management in creative industries are also of the interest of the journal. The journal publishes two issues per annum (January and July), with a tentatively additional guest-edited special issue when a special interest arises. 

JOIDEIS is a journal that promotes cross-fertilization of diverse disciplines as well as different communities and sectors including but not restricted to research, engineering, design practice, education and training, and marketing. The journal adopts the open-access policy to facilitate accessibility and academic impact. Articles may take the forms listed below, innovation and alternative ones are equally welcome.
